the real deal

by:

Alright, so before I start writing this I want it to be known that I myself am in a perfectly ranked middle tier frat here at lehigh. Also, before I go on this little rant of mine I want everyone to know that I love the Greek system and have had some of my best memories here because of it. Now on to the real topic of this discussion; house rankings. It is my firm belief that the whole idea of house rankings is the worst thing that could possibly happen here at lehigh. It is such a shame that there are guys and girls who are in love with their house but are also publicly shamed for joining it. All a frat or sorority is is a group of like minded individuals who enjoy doing things together. Just because one frat parties more with one sorority, should not mean thAt frat is "better" or more populAr. The best memories from colleges are mAde with your friends doing things, and not in some tiny hot overcrowded frat basement. To all of you new freshman or transfers, don't join a house because of its social "rank" or stigma. Join a frat because you like the principles of the house and because you like the brothers and want to develop a whole new level of bond with them. Being in a frat can allow you to make some of the best ,memories of your life, so jump on in and don't worry about what anyone else says.
