time for reflection
by: greekguyThink about the number of times you or your friends had one too many at a party, all the times you witnessed and/or encouraged your Greek brothers, sisters or even complete strangers to “chug” or “take another shot”. Think of the times you got into your car to drive since you were the “least buzzed” of the group. Think about the times you saw someone completely messed up but left them alone assuming their bros or sisters were bound to take care of them. If these drinking behaviors teaches us anything, it’s that we can’t let this bing drinking culture go unchecked. We can’t remain apathetic for it will only get worse. I’m not saying we all should stop drinking and socializing but I hope more people get “smart” about it. It’s just not that cool anymore to be so wasted drunk that you can’t function or to see others that way. Time too ask ourselves, if we binge drink and pass out and don’t remember a thing...what’s the point?
