Zeta colonized at Lehigh 7 years ago. Its reputation and brand at Lehigh is steadily improving and its differentiated approach is increasingly attracting a differentiated membership as Lehigh students gradually see the full benefit of the ZTA approach.

As greek life evolves, old ways like hazing have become anachronistic and NPMs increasingly expect more from a sorority than keg parties and imagined social status. NPMs are increasingly looking for the future of greek life instead of the past. Zeta is the future of greek life.

Zeta is a leader in eliminating outdated harmful practices like hazing, and replacing them with positive experiences that develop a strong sisterhood. ZTA does not accept the historical greek life view that women are objects whose value and rank is determined by how they are rated or ranked by fraternity men. While Zeta understands that parties, appearances, and social skills are aspects of the sorority experience, ZTA is much, much more.

ZTA emphasizes using positive experiences to develop talented, modern women who understand and really believe that they are worth so much more than what is dictated by the opinions of men in fraternities. ZTA makes a positive difference in the lives of members by developing a strong sisterhood, creating opportunities and experiences that develop the full potential, strength of character, and confidence of its members. Zeta emphasizes developing leaders, serving others, academic achievement, and personal growth, with a commitment to friendship and the future. All of these efforts are coordinated between the local chapters and ZTA's national organization.
