sorority recruitment
by: TransferIs it hard to get a bid at UWG? I plan on transferring here next year and I would love to join a sorority. What is the GPA requirement for transfers? Do I need recommendations? Please help! (:

Being an upperclassman can be difficult going through recruitment. However, it's NOT impossible. I, myself, was a transfer student too, and found my home in Panhellenic. As for GPA, requirements vary on a chapter by chapter basis. Recommendations don't really matter at UWG, however, if you're a legacy...definitely send that in. Best of luck finding your home away from home.

It really isn't hard at all. I was an upperclassman with an average GPA, no connections and not really any campus involvement. I rushed 4 houses in the spring and got bids from 3. I can't really speak for fall recruitment but honestly if you keep an open mind you'll find at least 1 compatible chapter. Good luck!
