Yeah just look at DPhiE... That's not a "solid ass pledge class" most of their good members dropped already lmao and with 17 established sororities and 1 new sorority to compete with, I doubt alpha phi's first pledge class would be any better. We have a relatively high percentage of PNMs who get bids here so it's pretty rare for a great PNM to get cut during formal recruitment. Sure I think alpha phi could easily climb to upper mid tier here, but not until at least a few years after OP will have graduated.

Yea, but that's expected from a smaller NPC colonizing at a SEC school. Alpha Phi is a larger more respected NPC with a better reputation. They have extreme potential to hit the ground running.

I think the idea they'll hit the ground running is highly suspect. But good luck with that.

There's no way Alpha Phi will get a completely solid PC the first semester, even with their national rep. DPhiE chapters in Florida and north and even KSU are the top chapters at their campuses and at UGA they had a mix of good/bad because they could only pick from girls who didn't get bids during formal. Every colonizing sorority is gonna be the bottom for a couple years. I wouldn't limit yourself to Alpha Phi honestly. DPhiE and Alpha Phi were added to give more spots to girls during formal rush because of crazy numbers of PNM's rushing every fall. All 18 sororities this fall will have their fair share pick of good girls rushing.

I wonder how much smaller quota will be this year and then after Alpha Phi colonizes... It will be interesting to see how everyone handles the opportunity to be more selective. While we do have a ton of girls rushing, we also give bids to like 95% of them most years and with quota being crazy high, everyone but the top tier sororities has trouble getting only the girls they really want.
