for the record
by: old row vs new row
I keep seeing sororities listed as "old row" or "new row" - for the record the 5 oldest continual sorority chapter's here at Georgia are Phi Mu, Chi O, Alpha Gam, KD and ADPI. Kappa and theta are not "old row" at Georgia. They are good sororities just not here the longest.

"Old row" is just an expression used for lack of a better term to refer to the traditionally elite sororities that go after old-money private school southern girls. "Old row" at UGA are the first 5 houses on Milledge on the right side of the street before intersecting with Baxter. They are ADPi, Phi-MU, Chi-O, Theta, and Kappa. DG was added later, hence the mod style, and DPhiE's new house will be added later this year on the same side of the street. That's always how it's been.
#5by: AGE NATIONALLY!
For those who are mentioning what tear a sorority hit UGA, the date of NATIONAL FOUNDING has influenced old row a lot more.
Coincidence or not, it's a fact that Old Row is: the four earliest founded sororities that Uga has a chapter of, and then there's randomly Chi O. Forvsome reason Pi Phi was not included. Please keep in mind this refers to when each entire SORORITY was first started, regardless of at what school.

ADPi should not be on this list, SDT was founded before it in 1924
