rush advice for girls

You've probably been told this already but the best advice for rush week truly is- GO IN WITH AN OPEN MIND!!!
Don't go in with a mental list of houses based off which one your friends' are in, which one boys like the best, or even which one you are a legacy in.
I say this because all the sororities here are great! You will make friends in whatever house you end up in. You will also meet guys regardless of which sorority you rush. And as for the legacy thing, if you are one, you might feel pressured to be in that sorority but you may end up not liking it so much!
This process is about YOU. Not your friends, not boys, and not your family. Rush is about finding where you belong and your sisters!
In the end, you will get a bid and eventually be initiated into a house. You will be a member of that sorority for life. So make sure it's one that you are proud to be a part of.

The "rankings" you see on sites like this one are useless. There's an agenda behind EVERY. Single. One.
Do you really think fraternity guys are taking the time to come on Greekrank to rate sorority houses? They aren't. And, girls who are happy where they are don't have time or interest in posting on sites like this.
The only people posting rankings on Greekrank are freshman and/or sophomore girls who think they can boost their own houses' reputation by posting a "ranking" with their house listed above the houses their competitorsl.
The honest truth is that every house here is good. Seriously. There isn't a house at UGA that I think of as a "bad house". There are truly great, awesome girls in every house.
Go where you're comfortable and wanted, and everything will be fine. Honestly.

This is all very great information. This website can be very mean sometimes. I'm prepared for major hate on this but I'm a sorority woman at Ole Miss. And a good friend of mine at Bama pointed out a great thread, very long, positive, thorough and honest about rushing SEC. No it's not the same all att SEC schools but its answers I really wish I would of know.
