what's a rush document?

A friend of mine that's currently in a sorority at UGA (I'll be rushing there this fall) told me she got my name on her sorority's "rush document"; I have absolutely no idea what that is but didn't ask her. Can someone shed some light for me? Is it a good thing or is it like dirty rushing? Thanks :)
