As a female executive and Greek alum, the comments here are unfortunate. What opens doors for you are: your education, accomplishments, total resume, and ambition. The real world is not concerned with your Greek letters.

You are taking the point out of context. The poster was talking about networking. They did NOT say it would GET you a job. They said it would provide a network. That is all. Obviously you still need the credentials, but networking has always been recommended in the working world. Why wouldn't you use your Alumni association as well as other organizations you belong to? Y'all are pretty defensive...

Wait a minute..I am going to try to clarify how this whole conversation about sorority connections getting you a job got started. Don't pin this on Phi Mu with the "pink comments." This conversation was started by someone who said that ChiO and Theta are strong nationally and their connections are more likley to help you get a job than Phi Mu. No one from Phi Mu made the comments that your sorority connections would get you a job. In the world of work you are more likely work for someone who was not Greek. Most girls are not worried about the national strength of a sorority. Someone is really obsessed with this whole strength of the national sorority issue and it is not Phi Mu.

everyone knows some chapters just stink!!! & there could be a few even at UGA! National rep means nothing if the chapter is a bunch of - - - well you get the picture! But thank you for the education!

Phi Mu didn't snap in 2011. They are still recovering from 2010 when they snapped and still didn't make quota. Girls were still coming through the door well into September......
