old row
by: FutureDawgWhat exactly is "Old row" based on? I noticed they aren't the first sororities on campus or the ones with the earliest founding dates!! Just curious!

There is no old row among fraternities. Almost nobody at Georgia uses that term.
But, when u do hear it, it is likely someone - condescendingly and arrogantly - suggesting that their fraternity or sorority is better because their chapter was established earlier than another chapter at UGA.
By that definition, Delta Tau Delta is "old row," since their chapter at Georgia was founded in 1884. So is Chi Psi.
ATO. Phi Delt and Fiji were all at Georgia in the mid-to-late 1880s. Are they "old row?"
It is a meaningless term.

Obviously there is an "old row" at UGA.
Everyone here knows who's on row wether you like it or not. You can't just pretend there isn't one just because you're not on it.
