sorority comments

so this Old Row thing is just based on some random date and that's what they gloat about and feel that it makes them more exclusive? Crazy and not worth discussing - move on.

old row does not even exist except in some of the "exclusive /snap bid" sorority heads. it is stupid. lets move on because, after all the explaining and figuring out there is no sound way to classify someone as old row, the point is mute. It is something a few snobs got together and made up years ago.

Look at the top 6 right now -
Pi Phi, Gamma Phi, SDT, DZ, DDD, and AXO - all sweet, nice girls, I'm sure, but by no means the top 6 at UGA. The real top 6 don't spend hours on here self-ranking. They probably never get on this site because they are already secure in their standings in the real world.

are the real top 6 and what constitutes them being the top? Please explain. Return rate? Lack of snap bids? Anyone GDIs or posers can rank on here so this is an invalid site. I thought that all sororities at UGA were good. Didn't realize there was a "top 6". I would like to know how this is determined because I did not know panhellenic had set forth criteria to determine a top 6. :)

This board was all nice after bid day and now it is getting hateful again. What is the deal? 1) there is no top sorority at UGA. Pan does not tally up points to determine "the top sorority". You top sorority is who fits you best. (2) Half the people posting are probably not students at UGA or in sororities. As you witnessed during rush bitter mothers, alums etc were getting on here and bashing. Most girls in the sororities don't have the time or concern to deal with greek rank. (3) There is no such thing anymore as old row/ new row and there is no longer a division and those that still cling to that are living in a time warp . There might have been a division back in the 1950s but not now.

is certainly an opinion and everyone has one. My top would be (based on history, popularity w/ frats, looks etc) PhiMu, XO, KKG, KD, ZTA, and KAT. See? That is MY perception. Everyones is different. You are not right and I am not wrong. We are both right based on our OWN opinion.

Maybe the reason GPhi, Pi Phi, DZ, DDD, and SDT are at the top here isn't because of self-rating, but because there is so much bashing of other houses that are more...controversial (esp Kappa). Don't blame Pi Phi, G Phi, DDD, AXO and SDT for the fact that they don't generate a lot of hate.

ddd, theta, pbp, xo, kd and axo based on how i was treated at rush, nationwide presence, reputation on campus, intelligence. I don't care how popular i am with fraternities-half the time that requires a girl to be intoxicated and easy. i want a group that i am going to be able to stay in contact with for years that earns more than a mrs degree at uga.
