if some of the so called "popular" houses had better values it would help. They cut simply because someone is not pretty enough. Need to focus more on the inside. The fact that they cut so much at the beginning and then not having enough at the end is their own fault.
Some of the "less popular" houses had incredible return rates this year.

it seems the more popular houses are "hurt" by the process, isn't it evening out the field a bit? It would only get worse if the popular houses ALWAYS got the "best" girls. I would predict many more would drop after being cut from them because the disparity would become so great between top and bottom. UGA has alot of strong houses. Their are a couple that struggle, but for the most part they are all very good.

folks, its the same process at Bama, AU, FSU, everywhere. UGA has actually based some of their improvements on what AU has done, for example. It is what it is. My daughter just found out she is getting no bid today at UGA. She did nothing wrong and she'll have to try again next year or find something else to do with her time.
#3535 by: Remember there are
MANY QUALITY WOMEN WHO DID NOT GET A BID. Please use a little sensitivity as you enjoy your sorority. If you work to strengthen the bond between all sororities it will make for a better campus. Please Please realize you can make this a great year for all. A 1985 Chi Omega alumn

I've been writing recs for yrs for the Ga chapter as an active alum who always promotes sororities in general. I heard rush was bad at UGA but comparing my younger daughter's experience this week at UGA to my older daughter's experience at a Big 10 school is like night and day.
Major issues with legacies -my dbl-legacy daughter got cut before 3rd round-I spoke to chapter advisor this week because chapter called me for recs on other nonlegacies even tho they cut my daughter! and I was told they had 120 legacies - they had to major cut before 3rd round- only had 60 spots- or they would have to all be on bid list.
Funny thing is my daughter's resume is so far superior to other nonlegacy girls from my daughter's school who I know super well-these were the girls coming back for the 3rd round. My daughter was crushed but ended up w/3 good choices from top houses-she'll get bid tonite! My husband says she's too good for sorority me & other daughter belong to!Should I punch him now or later

You and I both know that the same sorority life we had is not the same as today. Sororities very from school to school and year to year. Some of the sororities that were top just a few years ago at UGA are slipping. Good luck to your daughter and am extremely sorry you went through this .

Well gee, I guess you are annoyed to be called to write recs for girls in your area that had none-after cutting your daughter. I don't know what chapter but it was very insensitive on their part. I am sure your daughter will be very happy with her new house but can understand why you are annoyed. It is sometimes harder on us (moms) because we always want to do all we can for our girls!! Best of luck to your daughter-may she find lifetime sisters in her new house :) Mu Beta XO 1982
