I wonder if the moms of disappointed girls would be this vocal if their daughters had gotten what they wanted. I'm sure when all of these alums went through rush and got bids, there were probably sad girls back then too. Unfortunately, no one really cares unless it's about them or their child. My daughter had a great experience last year, and yet she called and said "There has to be a better way." One of the girls from her school didn't get invited back to anything. I hope that all these alums will try to change the system, but the very nature rush lends itself to hurt feelings and disappoinment for many. Who wants to be told they are not wanted? No one I know.

It's a life lesson. When you put yourself out there to be judged you have to be able to take what happens. I think any moms who went thru rush at an SEC school knows how tough and brutal it can be and is better able to prepare their daughter. I am thankful I was able to do that.

It's life. Grow a backbone. Panhellenic rush has been like this for years! Rejection is a part of life. If you don't get the sorority that you want, you can always rerush next year. Girls actually do that. On a happier note: this DOES NOT define who you are in life & if you think it does, well.........then you're one sad puppy.

sorry alumn that paid the way for each of you to become this. I am sorry I ever had a part in this. That is why Georgia will always be the backwards South. Just wait all the big houses and all the white people now work for all the OTHERS. The funny part is you are too stupid to know I am right. Just remember when you watch "The Help" the role reversal for Greeks has already begun. And yes I am white, just sorry I am greek. Oh and darling I have known plenty of doctor's lawyers, bankers wives and junior leagues to know STUPID women. Oh and many of the were Chi Omegas.

A lesson for all of these girls would be self value. How do you determine your on self worth. If its through the eyes of others then maybe you shouldn't Rush. A lesson for the disappointed mothers would be to teach your daughters to value themselves on their on merits and not by what others perceive them to be. Too all the disappointed ladies out there this Rush that you participated in is not a reflection of you whether you were chosen or not. These houses did not get an opportunity to know you. That's why many who join will drop out because it's not the right fit. I know a lady who chose to withdraw even though she had made it to the prev round and most likely would've gotten a bid. She just didn't want to commit herself to a house of people she didn't know. Because she values herself and ideals. What if this house didn't hold the same standards as her. This whole experience sounds way to much like highschool.

Have no idea what your crazy rant is about or what your problem is with Chi Omega. As for race relaitions a former Chi O wrote one of the most definitive books of the century on race relations in the south. Perhaps you have heard of To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

posting about the horrors of sororities now that your daughters didn't get what they wanted. Shame on you. Name calling, insults, really? An the alumni who "paid" for all of this I say I am glad you were not able to pay the way for your daughter to get in. What kind of system would that be? I am sorry things did not turn out well for your child. I know it hurts, but it is part of life. Please let her know she will be okay and it will work out. It did for me when I got cut.
