Need to stop! This is absolutely ridiculous. Take your issues to Panhellenic and off this board.

I was fortunate that when my daughter went thru several years ago she actually knew some active members in my chapter. I still told her they could/would cut her if she was not liked. I think the fault lies with us sometimes in thinking we can protect our kids from disappointment when we should actually try to prepare them for it. It hurts to see your child hurt but in the end that is a part of life for everyone. Rush is very stressful to everyone and in the end most girls are very happy where they end up because ususlly it is a good fit

speech why not let the world see the sorority system for what it is worth. Also if you think it is ok for sorority thugs to disrespect alums you are part of the problem.

Please - they may look happy but later on the truth comes out in a major way for some of these girls who end up pledging. My friend's daughter accepted a bid last year from my sorority - in fact they called me for a rec on her during rush last year. She was exhausted and emotionally drained. She accepted bid and then depledged the next day. My friend said she decided she didn't have the time. This girl was super active in school. I never found out the real reason. Would love to know the % on depledging/deactivating at UGA. It was practically unheard of when I went through rush years ago - this process leaves something to be desired.

release the numbers on girls who depledged. This would result in truth finally come out on the flaws in the program.

I know this is true I called about the numbers and they did not have them.

Have the girls found out yet where they will be going to prefs today?? How many houses will they go to?
