sorority comments

you need to keep an open mind and not get to hung up on one or two houses. There will be some disappointed girls tomorrow-It's a numbers game at this point and there are just too many girls going thru this year. I went thru last year and dropped after my 3 favorite houses cut me. It was a HUGE mistake! I could have been happy at some of the other houses. Just try not to get your hopes up to the point you cannot see what may be being offered to you.

Make sure that whatever house you pick, you like what they stand for because you are about to stand for it too!

carefully-these girls are going to be your study partners, party friends, and most likely in your wedding. Also, you want to be able to say with pride "I was a ____ at UGA".

Listen you cannot party your life away and beauty fades with time but TRUE friendships are forever. Make sure that you pick for where you are comfortable and not because you are a legacy, or when you sister was here xyz was the sorority or all your acquaintances back home say abc is "the sorority" to be in". Remember you have to live with your decision not only at UGA but post college.

I did not pledge a house after going thru rush (long story). But can say the houses I liked going in vs the houses I found I liked during the process were very different. I am now a JR and can say the houses as I have come to know girls in is also different. From my experience the houses with the classiest, yet fun girls are- AXO, XO, ADPi, PiPhi and DDD. This is just my experience from having classes with, and being DT and at games etc. Sure there are nice girls/not nice in every house-Just my experience. These houses seem to be respected

suggest that once again, if you don't know most of the girls in the houses(and how could you when there are so many, that a statement like the girls I have found to be the classiest,etc... is worthless and misleading. You should just go away. Because of people like you, others may cut perfectly wonderful houses. You have a responsibility to others when you write on these boards, whether you grasp that or not.

stay away from stereotyping the houses. They ALL have pretty girls, smart girls, private/public school girls, girls who party, rich girls and involved girls.

Get real needs to go away!

I kind of have to agree---after looking at the pictures that have been posted on the red and black and else where...I am kind of shocked. Hopefully that pictures have not been focusing on the pretty girls going through rush if there are any....from the pics I saw---seriously I saw only ONE cutie....weird.
