sorority comments

PNMs ignore postings like one below. Logically no one knows every girl in every house. When they talk of the best they never back up these comments with any specifics. UGA has great sororities - something for everyone. You may well have heard of some of them and desperately want to join one or two. Make sure you like the freshman class. Sororites change from year to year. I am the only one left in a sorority of all my friends. They didn't make the right choice for them and were very unhappy. No need for this if you follow your instincts and ignore posters like below.

those houses have the best looking girls with the best grades. they are the most popular, raise the most money, are the nicest, most social, most liked & have a long standing tradition at uga, also most sought after during rush. have been here for a very long time. need more specifics?

PhiMu-XO-KD-APDi-DDD-AOPi-Theta-AXO-Kappa-Zeta have been a true asset to the greek community. Without them there would bascially be no greek life at uga. The best houses always tend to get the most hate.

I really wish some actives or recent alums would give a legitament description of the different sororities for those of us trying to go into rush with a better idea of the different houses, 17 is a lot to deal with in only a week so some info now would be so helpful :)

yes read the pointer or go to uga's panhellenic page. check out the chapters.

it is impossible to give a description of each house because each is made up of many, diverse individuals. You will know when you get there. go with your gut feelings, they are usually right. No need to get hung up on a select few bfore rush- they will prob cut you or you will be dissappointed when they don't live up to the hype. try to have fun even though it is stressful.

i'm not gonna say "tiers" but the houses I see as being on the same level (same kind of girls)
