usually indicates money (not too many people are taking out huge loans just for UGA), which will be to your advantage during rush. Being out of state is a plus, but not enough to rely on; Things like who you know, high school, legacy, GPA, looks, and social skills matter way more.

Haha Im not from Texas, I do go to a private school though and am a legacy at two houses on campus. I have spent some time on greekchat and people say that it is very hard to get bids if you are out of state because you dont have the advantage of knowing girls in all of the sororities, that seems unfortunate. I dont want to be at a disadvantage but but I think there is anything I can do about it.

Hilarious that some of the better chapters on this campus are ranked at the bottom on this website. Kappa, Phi Mu, and KD are some of the top tier, and seem to be some of the only classy chapters at UGA, judging by the fact that their members choose not to participate in the self-ranking that the other chapters are doing. Good job, girls! The jealous girls will keep trying to bring down KKG, PM, and KD but keep being the classy, beautiful ladies you are!

I apologize, I promise you I am not. I currently hold a 3.7 at a rather prestigious boarding school, I have also served as class president, various team's captain, am an avid equestrian, serve as a student ambassador for my school, and am an active officer in my school's service committee. Those facts however, will speak for themselves on my resume, while the other factors, ie: who I know and wealth wont, and are out of my control as it is.

On 1/13/11 this comment was put on some of the pages which is rude and so untrue for some of the sororities it attacked. You be the judge. "people on here writting the same thing on many sororities site. Look at DDD, AXO, Pi PHi, DG,--just TRYING spreading their unhappiness.--laughable little people."

that but took it differently than you. I think the person was trying to point out that someone randomly goes on different sites and writes the same thing about each sorority. I didn't think the 1/13 post was an attack as much as an observation.

explain to me why there is so much hate and negativity on this site? Are there really this many unhappy and empty people at the University of Georgia? I am greek, have many friends that are and aren't but just don't know any that seem as miserable as the haters that post on here. Can someone tell me what they receive within themselves by spreading misery?

as for not knowing anyone, while it might be hard..get recs for every sorority on campus. in many cases, not having a rec means you will get cut vs. the girl who does have a rec.

Look how many comments AGD has a day. I think they are so horrible they spend all day trying to boost themselves. It is like they monitor this page and anytime they get a bad comment a rebuttal is made. Get a life AGD!
