sorority comments

I completely agree with you! Girls from Public Schools aren't the problem and it's laughable that some people are so ignorant that they think this is the case. Girls from both public and private high schools have exhibited unclassy behavior in every sorority. Being from a public high school doesn't make somebody automatically worse!

Listen brah, they want to call the other top houses shallow, huh? I do think aopi is a top house but they just went way to shallow for me. Poor chubby sister. They shouldn't given her a bid if they felt that way about here. They are now officially it. Kappa was it but now aopi is really in deep shiat!

Before I went through rush and attended UGA I was told the top sororities to pledge by alumni were the following:

Phi Mu,ADPi,Theta,Xo& KKG
then ZTA, DDD, KD & AOPI then AXo, GPB, DZ & PBP, then SK, AGD& DG.

After attending this school in 2010, I realize the rush advise from people who attended UGA in past is not good advice because things change. My picks would be as follows:

DDD, THETA, XO, ZTA, KKG
then AXO, GPB, PBP, AOPI
then DZ, AGD, SK
then DG, PHI MU, ADPi and KD.

I would be embarrassed to be seen in the same group with some of the sisters.

FYI: I did pledge and it was not one of the ones listed as my top pick.

I wish I would have waited until I got to know more about them.

said. I really do think UGA should hold Rush either later in the first semester or even do it in the second semester. There is good in every sorority but you don't know the one that fits you best until you've been here a while and got to know some of the houses and their sisters. I feel lucky that I made the right choice for me - but I stress I feel LUCKY could easily have gone the other way as I was leaning towards another house which would have been completely wrong for me.

anyone else out there think that it is strange that someone at a Public / State University would slam public education? Obviously, their parents couldn't afford to send them to private school any longer or they couldn't get accepted. We should all really pity this person. It must be so hard to have to slum with public people after such a privlidged life has been taken away!

agree with the previous post. Public vs Private school??? Come one, we are ALL in public school now. And an excellent one at that. Just goes to show that private school doesn't cultivate class.

My opinion of the houses today:
1: adpi kd phimu zta kkg
1.5: xo theta aopi
2: axo ddd sk
3. dz pbp gpb
4. sdt agd dg

I did 1.5 because these are still very highly sought after sororities that many would still consider to be in the top, just to me they are a little below the 1st group.

no need to hate on all of these sororities now just because i did or didn't put your house as number one. i'm only 1 person, so this is just how i see it today. feel free to post how you see it today too :)

a KD or ZTA would put themselves in same catagory as KKG and PhiMu so I would guess its a KD or ZTA. No KKG or PhiMu would rank them up there. I would know...

just so predictable - never a reason why just on and on. Tend to agree it's probably a KD or ZTA - probably a ZTA but who cares - so juvenile.

OK - now justify your ranking. What do you know about those houses that led you to this opinion. The 1.5 houses you state are highly sought after - by whom? Do you have facts? Explain your reasons for ranking the next groups. What is bad about them that they are not in your top groupings. Please explain.
