I don't think of AOPi as being a southern sorority like say, XO, PhiMu or ADPi. So...they may not feel as much pressure as those houses to take legacies. AOPi is just not as big or popular in the south as those houses so they would not feel as pressured by advisors and alums. Just my take on the situation as far as loyalty goes

It depends on what you mean by southern. I promise I am not being sarcastic but AOPi has strong chapter at the following Southern schools: UGA, Ga Southern, Florida, Bama, Auburn, Birmingham Southern, Elon (private but still southern), Vandy ($), Tennessee (they were one of the first chapters at Tennessee along with my chapter, Chi O. They also have AOPi at Ole Miss, the biggest Southern school ever. So, at least do a little research before you speak off the cuff

Oh, forgot about AOPi having a great chapter at UAB, Arkansas (where it is very hard to survive-has anyone seen AOPi's 5 story house at Arkansas, the one with the elevator). And with Ole Miss, I have many friends that go there and I can tell you the AOPi chapter is great and any chapter is lucky to stay on that campus. ADPI was not even able to make it there.

Hi everyone, I'm a Chi O from UT Knoxville and proud of it. I have a lot of AOPi friends here and friends in a lot of the other sororities. I am shocked at the way you talk to each other on here. Now, I am even more thankful that I am at UT than somewhere like UGA.

After reading several of UGA post and comments, I am more sure than ever, that I made the right choice not to go there when offered acceptance. So sad, these little girls with BIG problems. Get a life!!!

Which is more pathetic: the people who discuss, shallow as it may be, organizations at their school with which they are involved, or the people who spend time reading about their opinions even though they admittedly have no connection whatsoever to these organizations or these women? I suggest that you should "class it up down," that is, if you can figure out what that incomprehensible phrase means. And I do not use those terms lightly.

I do attend UGA and am in a sorority just want you to know that most of agree that the majority who post on this site are ridiculous. My own opinion is that it's probably just 10 to 20 girls who post continually. If you read the comments and rankings they say the same the same things over and over again. They represent approximately 2-4 sororities who consider themselves top tier. The really classy sororities never post here. Please don't think that this represents Greek Life at UGA it simply doesn't and we are totally embarrassed by the back biting contained on this site.

Obviously, the most pathetic is the individual who doesn't know what " class it up/down" means. Didn't mean to offend you "sugar pie". Go, enjoy your grits, and forget about me. Which shouldn't be hard for you to do, based on you nonsensical post

Class includes an understanding of proper grammar. Proper grammar includes using punctuation where necessary. The term "Class it up down" makes no sense because you did not include the appropriate slash. I would suggest that before you spread more of your bitterness, that you go back to your "non-southern" school and take a crash course on grammar. You won't go far writing in sentence fragments.

of you have any class. You both trade in insults. Take a step back and enjoy the beautiful weather, your friends and your family - this is all silly stuff.
