needs to be shut down and a new, better sorority, like Alpha Phi, needs to be brought in. It will takes years, if even possible, to improve Ga Kappa's rep. UGA panhellenic needs to boot them and give their new members a chance to pledge elsewhere if they haven't already been initiated. It's not the new girls' fault.

Is everyone so mean on here?? Please talk up your own house and not degrade others. We all like our own houses. Why not be positive and talk about all the good things that Greeks do for the UGA???

what is going on with kappa is none of your business. i'm a senior and i know some really great girls who pledged kappa and they really like it and are really upset by people saying things like you did. while i understand that opinons like yours are what this website is for, please remember that there are very impressionable girls who have just recently entered college and pledged a sorority that they love who could be incredibly hurt by your comments. put yourself in their shoes. kappa has some very classy girls, who are incredibly smart and well-liked---including girls who are seniors, which is the pledge class that most people say is causing the trouble. they aren't involved on campus and in other greek philanthropies as much as others, but they are a great sorority..just because their sisterhood isn't what everyone is looking for doesn't mean you should berate them.

do you consider them a good sorority if you yourself say they aren't involved on campus, aren't involved in Greek philanthropies and not a sisterhood that others are looking for? What in your opinion constitutes a good Sorority? Isn't it the very things that Kappa lacks? I am glad they have some good pledges hopefully they can turn this thing around because right now Kappa is an embarrassment.

Because many Kappas are incredibly nice, outgoing, and smart. They don't participate in other greek philanthropies, which is a drawback, but they do have a lot of other things going for them. You misread it when I said that they don't have a sisterhood that others are looking for---Many girls aren't looking for the type of sisterhood that my sorority gives me, just as many aren't looking for the type of sisterhood phi mu or alpha gamma delta, for example, offer. Different strokes for different folks. Every sorority on UGAs campus is great, so that's why I'm saying Kappa is great. Just because you don't agree with their lifestyle or sisterhood doesn't make them bad, in the least.

I just disagree. Lifestyle is important with regards to a sorority. Some Kappa girls just don't seem to get it. The new pledges can turn it around NEXT year when the seniors finally leave.

To that senior member of Kappa who commented below. Um, if you care so much about the feelings of your new pledges, then why did you have them kill fish? So messed up. But, of course we already knew that about you. Yall are a bunch of self serving girls who need a lesson in humanity.

Stating the fact that Kappa killed fish and that that is wrong and hurtful to the fish and to the new members is not 'bashing'. It is an honest opinion. Any other sorority who did that would get consequences from their nationals and / or local police and panhellenic. It's just the truth.

Agree with the board now:

If you remove DG and AGD and put them at the bottom then Move Adpi and KAT up in their places the board would be more accurate.

Top sororities ( classy , smart, genuine )in no order: AXO, PBP, GPB, AOP, DDD, XO, DZ, KaT, ADP

Bottom sororities ( fake, raunchy reputations )in no order: DG, AGD, PM, SK, KKG, KD, ZTA


All the sororities have pretty girls and some not so pretty girls. Georgia has the prettiest girls in the southeast so no one should be giving sororities a 1 in looks. All have some who like to party and some who don't.

Do you still not get what people are trying to say? Stop with the judgement and rude comments. Maybe we should move your sorority to the "bottom" as you call it for being such a snob.
