what do sororities look for during rush?

every sorority at UGA is different and so they look for girls who they feel will fit in with them the best. you should be yourself (i know it sounds cliche) and go through rush with an open mind. if you do those two things, you will definitely end up where you're supposed to be.

if you go in to rush trying to be someone you're not just because you think it will impress certain sororities, then you may end up unhappy and feel out of place in your sorority.

do grades play a big role during rush?

this is NOT the place to get rush information. if you're truly rushing in august, you should go to uga's panhellenic page. look at all the chapters info pages.

Yes- Your grades are a big deal to the top houses. They want to stay on top.
In State/Public School- ALL houses have public school girls. Some more than otheres. I would def. say some of the old row houses have less than others-Mainly PM, KKG,XO. But they all take some. Take a look at what houses have pledged girls from your school in the past. But the best advice is be yourself. If not it is true you could end up somewhere you feel out of place. ALL the sororities at UGA are terrific and have something to offer. Good luck!

Zeta is TERRIBLE

attacking ZTA. They are not terrible. they are solid mid tier. Although I agree they have had a rough year this year.

ZTA is not a terrible sorority. I came to UGA and didn't know anybody or anything about sororities here. Just go into it with an open mind. I have to say that the top two sorority pciks in my rush group were KD and ZTA, so don't believe what jealous girls write. Come find out for yourself.

the definition of retarded is slow or limited in intellectual or emotion, which obviously is a condition you suffer from. And No classy girl would ever refer to herself as a "sorostitute", i'm pretty sure that is an image that most girls who have self respect try to not to portray. And i'm not a SK sweetie.
