sorority comments

i am glad that i didn't know about this website before rushing. i went through rush knowing absoultely nothing about ANY sorority. i ended up cutting some of the supposedly "top tier" sororities after the first round! but i'm happy where i am and i love the girls in my sorority :) to PNM's who unfortunately come across this site: GO THROUGH RUSH WITH AN OPEN MIND. dont take this website seriously. the sororities who have a lot more to proove are the ones who self rank their way to the top... just saying!

and I know some who should be in rehab

here's my honest opinion based on girls i've seen/met in sororities, what non greeks around campus think of them, their involvement, ect...just an overall tier rank for the 17 houses:

1. ADPi, AOPi, KAT, KKG, Phi Mu, ZTA

2. AXO, Chi O, DDD, DZ, KD, SK

3. AGD, DG, GPB, PBP, SDT

Put ZETA in the #2 spot and I would say that is just about correct! Zeta is a great popular middle tier house that girls seek after they are cut from the top houses. Yes, they have won a lot of stuff this year but that doesn't make you a top house with PNM's. I don't mean any hate at all. I have friends who are Zetas. None of them began rush thinking or saying "I want to go Zeta." Still they are happy.....

I would switch ZTA and XO- Just bcuz Chi O is old row and still perceived as exclusive. Even if they are a bunch of granola crunchers.

and I would have to drop KAT down to mid tier- they are just no where to be seen on campus.

Agree about KAT being dropped down but for some reason they are still perceived as a top house. Maybe after several years of snap bids and 16 snaps this year the PNM's, frats, etc. will catch on!

Yes I would switch XO for Zeta. I did not even notice that.......

What are the standards at some of the top houses? I mean like did ADPi kick that girl out for the bus incident? I heard most houses don't really have standards anymore. Can someone reflect on this?

I'm not anADPi but you should know that it didn't just involve one girl. There were many girls and their dates peeing in cups, bottles, etc. and throwing it out the windows. They had people vomiting and spilling alcohol everywhere. It was a disgrace to the Greek community and happened April 07. There are plenty of ADpi''s around to carry on the dishonorable name here at UGA.
