new sorority?

UGA is not currently open for expansion. There is a very specific process involved that is laid out by the NPC. UGA IS NOT open for expansion at this time. It first needs to come up for a Panhellenic vote, then the expansion is announced in the NPC bulletin, then interested sororities submit packets, the school selects the ones they want to present from those packets, and then the sorority is chosen after those presentations. It's a long and involved process, and people would know if it's happening.

Also please understand that if UGA decides to open, it will be a huge financial commitment for any sorority due to the housing arrangements needed in order to be competitive. Many sororities won't want to or e able to take that on. They also need to have significant numbers of alumnae in the area to support the new chapter both volunteer-wise and financially. It's not as simple as a sorority thinking UGA is a great school where they want to have a chapter.

you have no clue. there is a set of rules involved like the other person said. who is this mythical they you speak of? when we are open for expansion everyone will know it. there will be a vote and sorority presentations, not just some they talking to sororities. you are just a dumb guy and need to stay out of our business.
