i plan on rushing in the fall- what do I need to know
by: PNMi worry that every sorority girl during rush will be putting there best foot forward, like every girl will seem nice to me. are there any sororities that completely switch up the way they act after bid day? I just don’t want to pledge a group that seemed really great but ended up bratty/crazy parties/ not well-respected
#1by: yep
Of course everyone will be nice during recruitment, but while every chapter has a certain culture, there are none that are 'not well-respected.' There is every kind of girl in every sorority. The chapters are large and you will find your people wherever you join. When you are talking to the members at the houses you are invited back to, you will find that you will connect to certain members and have great conversations, and that's what you go on. Recruitment is the time to trust your feelings. Hopefully you will continue to be invited back to the houses where you had those great conversations.

Yes. It happens. Your best bet is to talk to girls now for true info and opinions. There are sororities who are seen as “top” but it’s bc they like to pretend all their members are rich and they do party hard. But they keep that on the down low. Then there are those with hardly any socials planned but who have the sweetest girls at recruitment (AGD). IMO the sororities who are honestly who they appear to be are AOii, Zta, AXO, SK, and PiPhi. Piphi has a less filled social schedule but seem genuine. Aoii, zta, & axo tend to socialize with similar frats and party but not “hard”. They also focus on grades & pretty girls. Sk has a good social schedule too but slightly diff frats. The prob is aoii, zta, & axo prob have about 80% of their pnms picked out in advance. Most of the more popular sororities do (even tho they’ll say it’s not true).
