by: YeahMaybe SP is a halfway decent option but even then I wouldnt. Your best remaining options OX DTD LXA, are either too far (DTD), no house yet(lxa), or blanker bidders who scour to bid guys other groups drop(OX). SigEp and to a lesser extent SP are the only ones who aren't geed level weird/desperate for guys this spring.

That’s not what blanket bidding means dude. A lot of bids aren’t taken because they go to higher ranked houses. If they even get a couple of those guys who could go Delta Sig or ATO to go OX that does wonders for their quality. Blanket bidding is when a house bids everybody, even people who wouldn’t get a bid at any other house at their level. Like what Pike, Kappa Sig, and Sigma Pi do.

That's exactly what OX does though. No one in their Pcs get bids from anywhere else because they aren't good enough. If they got bids from literally anywhere minus chipsi phikapp dke lxa age etc. they would take it over OX. That's why OX has 50-60% of their bids not taken every year. They go elsewhere but it's all about handing out enough bids.

Also compiling a list of everyone who showed up to at least 1 rush event and handing them bids as opposed to individually evaluating everyone who comes and picking your best options isn't blanket bidding?

Isn’t that kinda the point of this site? Of course if someone got a bid from ATO and OX they’re picking ATO. Same if someone got a bid from OX and LXA they’re gonna pick OX. Bidding some kids who might be rushing below they could get isn’t blanket bidding. Blanket bidding would be bidding kids who wouldn’t be able to get bids at other fraternities around your level (For OX closest measuring stick is SP because Sig Ep is a little weird).

I got a bid from OX just because I dormed with someone who was rushing them, went to one rush event and spoke to like 3 guys total. OX might not be blanket bidding according to you but they are dangerously close. The guy who was rushing them was a huge DnD guy whos only other bid was DKE. These guys are weird AF.

I know people who got a bid at SP at their first event and they didn’t even talk to many people. A lot of people who didn’t get a bid at OX went to Phi Kapp and SP. FOH SP
