Mostly in Florida . Ok 700,000 . CBP from that time reports 2.5 million illegal crossings just from the Southern Bordet . You really want to have this debate ? Crossings are not migrants coming to this country. Those crossings are not just our border with mexico and it's not only inbound crossings. I can admit the majority of those crossings are inbound and are illegal but it's not a good representation for migration. Would you rather walk 250 or so miles or just buy a plane ticket? It's pretty simple.

Now if you're talking about border security and not just immigration then building a wall may help yes but it won't stop people from flying here for a better life.
