COB, Sophomore rush, or transfer.
by: anonymousI rushed and dropped bc i only had my bottom 2 left, What are my chances of re rushing as a sophomore or cob for a house like AGD, DDD, SK, DG, SK, PiPhi, Zeta, AXO, DZ, or most other houses. I would get a rush coach even. I just really wanted to be in greek life. Helpful answers only and pls be realistic like what are my chances here.

December graduations open a few spots in houses for spring bids, but they go to people they already know and like, not usually to random people who just show up in spring. You just need to make friends in the houses that you are interested in and then before finals let them know you want a bid. You don't need a rush coach.

Your best chances will be with DG, AGD, and PiPhi. The rest got all their girls or filled cobs already. I don’t see Zeta or AXO having availability bc they have girls waiting to get in. If sororities have openings in spring, the more desired ones give preference to girls they know. Look for spring rush info in Jan. All the sororities you listed are a little different. The truth is you should get to know different girls, find who you vibe with, and the right sorority will happen.

It has not so much to do with not wanting you the first time as the limits that are put on every sorority for how many they can invite back during each round. Girls fall through the cracks every year during rush and end up in great houses after all. Don't discount houses that initially cut you for a COB.

I think if you’re looking at AGD, Pi Phi, and DG, it’s still good to know girls within the sorority. I have friends who were spring bids in those sororities, and it was definitely a “who you know” type of situation. Make friends with them, casually express interest (don’t make it weird), attend the fair, and it will all work out.
