Snap bids happen when a chapter misses quota. They are able to offer bids (in a snap, ie quickly)up to quota after bid matching but before bid day festivities begin. Only the recipient, some people in the Panhellenic office, and usually the president and recruitment vp of the chapter will know the girl got a snap bid. She arrives with the other new members and celebrates along with everyone. Any bids handed out after that time frame are considered COBs.
