Opening your bid day card

If you chose not to SIP tomorrow and open your bid day card and are disappointed in the house you get. That’s okay. It’s actually so normal.

You have to think that you have known the girls in that house for no longer than watching a movie, and have no possible way of knowing the pledge class that surrounds you.

It’s natural to be disappointed if you have your hopes set on something, but it’s not fair to yourself, the pledge class, or the chapter.

Give yourself the new member period to get to know more girls and then really see if you feel at home. You can’t build a home in three hours and you can’t judge every person in the house you haven’t met.

I hope this encourages some of the PNMs to give it a chance!
