Connections as pnm rushing in the fall

How does one become connected with members as a pnm before rush?

So the rules changed this year and made it much harder to get connected but your best bet is if you have someone from your hometown/state or any family friends that you know are in a sorority, really try to work that angle.

You have to already be actually connected, meaning members here are from your high school or home town, or are friends of your friends, or your parents friends, i.e. you have some personal connection with them already that you can use to let them know you are going through rush so they can get you on their chapter's radar. You don't make a "connection" all of a sudden over the summer with no existing relationship.
