Quotas & Suicide Bidding Explained
by: UGAFor everyone curious about the quotas this year they were capped at lower margins because of Alpha Xi recruiting. If you suicide bid you are put at the bottom of the list behind every other girl even if you were ranked high initially because UGA requires everyone that does the process fully to get a bid if they make it to pref. If you suicide bid you are not promised a bid and when less spots are available it’s less likely you will get in.

This is total BS. I wish ignorant people would not post this crap.
Quota was not capped by Panhellenic, it was determined the same way it always has by the RFM system and is solely based on the number of pnm's signing cards. Quota sets itself basically. There were not less spots available.
If you SIP, it in no way changes your rank on a sorority's bid list. If you are high enough on their ranked bid list to match with them before they reach quota then you get that bid. If not you don't. If you rank both houses you are guaranteed a bid to one of them, even if you don't get placed through bid matching. This is because of quota plus.
