Yes sophomores can get a snap bid.
It’s different every year- last year the ones I remember are Kappa, AXO, Pi Phi, DG and maybe others idk.
Some people will act like snaps are a “bad” thing but it is all just a numbers thing. Sometimes the numbers don’t match up.
Snap bids are a good thing bc they give girls a chance who may have mismatched, dropped or just fell through the cracks.

Snap Bids happen because a chapter released too many women in previous rounds and didn’t match after prep. They’re notably different from bids extended during COB (Continuous Open Bidding). Chapters participating in COB very likely may have reached quota during recruitment but are under chapter total and can therefore extend additional bids when the COB process opens.
