Honest question about Chi O?

Chi o is old row here and was top top a couple years ago. They’re still really good here but have been more “chill” than their counterparts. But they still have great fraternity relations, and even have joint socials and date nights with other old row sororities, like there was a joint my tie with adpi and chi o

Chi O has a good reputation here because they’re one of the old row houses, but they’ve been slipping in recent years since more PNMs don’t know/don’t care about old/new row status. They also have a very specific personality (which they clearly show during rush) compared to some of the other sororities where most PNMs could easily fit in.

They’re generally considered lower top/upper mid because of their old row reputation + their frat relations and consistency in getting most of the girls they really want. However, it’s also incredibly common for PNMs outside of their “type” to get a bad vibe there. Also they recruit based on personality more than looks, so even they might not look as hot as some houses during recruitment, it’s kinda intentional since they chose to recruit those girls over hotter girls who don’t fit their vibe.

Chi O was one of my least favorite houses when I rushed, but as I’ve gotten to know some of them better over time, I can see that’s they’re definitely a solid sorority even though they weren’t the right fit for me personally. They also seem to have a more genuine sisterhood than some of the other top houses.

Totally agree w op. If they weren't old row they'd prob be in line with some of the low mid houses like gphi ans pi phi
