Classes/Group Projects?

I’m taking a class where most of the work will be done in groups that the teacher assigned today (yes he assigned groups during drop/add lol). Anyways, there’s a girl in my group who I met during philanthropy round, and she’s in one of my top 2 sororities so hopefully I’ll get invited back for pref round!
Obviously we talked in class today because of the group assignments, and we’re both in a discord that our team is going to use to coordinate on all the group work this semester.
Do I need to tell my Gamma Chi about this, and is there anything I need to do (or avoid) during the next few days to make sure I don’t get in trouble or hurt my chances at getting a bid to this sorority?

Theoretically this is a great question for your Gamma Chi, but assuming you and the other girl aren’t talking about recruitment or meeting outside of class, it’s probably not worth making a big deal about. Just be normal and use common sense, and this shouldn’t get you in trouble or anything.
If you start to feel like things are getting awkward or if you’re pressured to interact with her beyond the scope of the class, at that point I’d definitely recommend talking to your Gamma Chi to get help with navigating the situation.

Do you have any group assignments to work on before bid day? If not, I’d say just don’t participate in the discord chat until recruitment ends.
Unless y’all talked about recruitment/sorority stuff during your class today, I don’t think you need to report it to your Gamma Chi.
