Biggest (positive) surprise during recruitment?

People keep posting their overall rankings, but for any other PNMs on here, which chapter have you been the most surprised with during recruitment so far? I really like both Pi Beta Phi and Delta Gamma at this point, which I wasn’t expecting since they aren’t generally considered top houses from what I’ve heard.

I really loved DDD and SK. I had the best conversations with them and could see myself in their sorority. I also really liked DG and Pi Phi they are doing so well this year and I loved their conversations also.

DG has the BEST philanthropy and they are so sweet. I really hope I make it back.

I really liked DG too. I was actually really disappointed that they they didn’t invite me back for pref, but the 2 houses I went to today (AXO and DZ) both seem really good too!

There honestly weren’t many houses that I didn’t like this week so hope everyone on here is happy with where we all end up on bid day! :)

DPhiE isn’t bad - it’s just that someone has to be at the bottom, and they’re definitely the least competitive chapter here.

My tops right now are SK and pi phi which is so crazy cause I hadn’t really heard of them but they’re so fun and I’d love to end up at either

This just goes to show how everyone has different experiences and preferences. Those were 2 of the houses that I ranked lower after philanthropy round. I was invited back to Pi Phi for house tours today and they were my least favorite.

The lower ranked houses I liked best after house tours were AXO and Gamma Phi - nothing against SK and Pi Phi at all - just a good example of how similarly ranked houses can be better/worse fits for different people!

I haven’t seen anyone post about them so now I’m second guessing myself but I really liked AGD. All the girls I spoke to were so friendly and sweet but maybe I’m missing something.

You aren’t missing anything! There are a lot of really sweet girls in Alpha Gam.

TBH, with the exception of DPhiE and SDT, there really aren’t any bottom tier sororities here, and the lower mid houses (DZ, APhi, AXO, GPhi, DG, AGD, and Pi Phi) are all pretty much interchangeable based on personal preferences and your personality.

Biggest surprise is that ranks mean nothing. My group liked Chi O, AGD, and AXO over theta and SK.

no literally DG has been killing it. my convos with all the girls i talked to were so awesome and they were so pretty. idk why everyone thinks they’re a lower tier sorority when they’re slaying
