Yes and no. There are sororities that would be a reach for you because you're not from around here and don't know anyone. You can't do anything about that. Recs always help at every house but have nothing to do with knowing girls in houses. If you're from California then a 'good' sorority is going to be different for you than a 'good' one for a girl from Atlanta. The sororities here are all good and you would not go wrong with any of them. What do you consider 'good'?

yes girl!! knowing a girl inside the house can literally make all the diffrence like unless you literally hit it off so incredibly well w a girl who happens to not have anyone she’s looking out for in rush, top houses (old row esp) aren’t gonna give you the time of day. it’s nothing personal just how it is, even new row girls spend MONTHSSS dirty rushing “cuties” they know from hs and the sorority basically has a bid list from day one.... just remember to be yourself tho bc you never know if you’re talking to someone who would love you sm they go to WAR for you before bid day

just saw you were from Cali- being out of state and not knowing anyone can give you a leg up honestly. it’s better than being from instate and not rly knowing anyone bc most out of staters will get more attention than someone from GA bc chances are that if you’re from ga there’s a rly small chance you don’t know anybody in that sorority and if someone knows you but y’all don’t give they will tell girls that...
