Does resume matter
by: WonderingDo the activities on your resume affect rush? Like do some chapters want cheerleaders and some want the club presidents and some want the youth group girls or is it just connections and conversations during rush that matter

No, the chapters aren't looking for particular profiles. You need to show involvement and leadership to demonstrate that you are a contributor and not just a joiner, and that you can balance other commitments with your academic load. Any sorority chapter depends on its members' active participation to be successful, and love when their members also join other campus organizations and take leadership positions, the higher profile the better. The chapters will also use your resume activities to pair you during recruitment rounds with actives who have similar interests and experiences so your conversations can go well and you will feel a connection to that chapter.

The resume is really more for providing the women who are writing your Rec letters. It should have everything they need (pictures, involvement, achievements, etc) so they can give the chapter a recommendation that puts you in a great light and gives the chapter a chance to learn more about you before you walk in the door on round 1

No it's not, grandma. Pnm's upload all their information online along with transcript when they register for recruitment. Chapters can read it all for themselves. So much easier. And not every pnm gets a rec for every house and recs aren't required anymore and are beginning to go away.
