You didn't get "cut after pref." What you mean is that you took your chances and suicided after pref and didn't get that bid. Nobody gets cut after pref when she puts both houses on her card. The system tried to match you with a house that wanted you, but you cut yourself out of that bid. And then houses reached out to you but you weren't interested, so you have had some more options for a bid already. If you didn't like any of those options from before, then you need to understand that they aren't going to be much different in the fall. You won't be judged for rushing again, but your real problem is not being open minded to the houses that want you. The only things in your favor are that upperclassmen are considered separately from freshmen, and the fact that maybe you have friends who are members that might pull for you.
