sororities JUNIOR

No sorority actively looks for juniors, but if the absolute right one comes along they would consider one as an upperclassman bid if they weren't concerned with only getting two years of membership out of them. If you have top grades and activities here and have friends in sororities then it would not be hard, poc or not. If you're a junior and are just average and don't know anybody then it's much harder, poc or not. You need to have something special to offer as a junior.

You will have to approach it like you're trying to get a job at a company you always wanted to work for. Go completely out of your way and meet girls in different sororities. Once you're on good terms let them know you're interested in joining a sorority....and most importantly tell them why you want to join and what you could bring to a house. Like the other poster mentioned, explain you're GPA, major, job experience, accomplishments, etc. Be confident - not arrogant, but it's not a time to be shy. Always Be Closing (ABC)

Of course it does. It's going to be hard for a junior coming in who doesn't know anyone. But if you don't try you will never know. So try it and don't take anything personally when houses cut you, and see what happens.
