Transfer to uga
by: TransferI’m transferring to uga next year and I’m in a sorority at my current college and want to affiliate with the sorority at uga. Do they let most transfers affiliate with the sororities or how would you know that they would vote to let you affiliate with them there, lm just worried because the sorority I’m in isn’t ranked as high at my current college as it is at uga

Why does this keep getting asked? It's an irrelevant question. First of all, does anyone actually believe that there is some official ranking system? This terrible site has NOTHING to do with actual Greek life. And does anyone actually think that a member would be accepted for affiliation or not based on a whole other chapter instead of on individual merits, personality, and what they could add to the chapter? Who believes this? People who aren't actually in a sorority, that's who. If you're an active member you would know to first check your national's affiliation policy and go from there instead of coming on Greekrank. "Do they let most transfers affiliate" - who is 'they'? It's not up to the school and what one chapter does has nothing to do with what another would do.

If someone wants to affiliate at another chapter here, there is no way anyone is going to check greekrank to see what it says before making a decision. No actual sorority member would even think that. This actually sounds like something that someone would ask before they rushed at another school while planning to transfer here. It has been known to happen exactly that way.

idk all the specifics, but to answer your questions, no, they do not always accept transfers. there is a chapter that my friend is in and she said they won’t take transfers from schools with “low tier” chapters. most of them welcome transfers with open arms though. in the rare case they did not accept you, i guarantee you wouldn’t want to join them anyways.

Thanks for answering my question but no need to be rude about it. I’ll go check the nationals affiliation page I didn’t know that’s where to find the information or that we had one. I know this site has nothing to do with Greek life but quite honestly didn’t know where to else ask and I know ranks shouldn’t be a thing but unfortunately they are and didn’t know if that would be considered so thanks for letting me know there not.
