what do girls do if they don’t get the sorority they wanted? do they drop before bid day or keep the next option?

They dodge a bullet without being aware of it, and they save their individuality and money without being sucked soul-less by hardcore collectivism.

Smart girls don't make an emotional decision and keep going through the process to give their other options, where they are wanted, a chance. If they get a bid where they are unsure, they can give it a try and see how it works out. It often does for them and they are very happy, but if not they can drop before initiation and try again the next fall.
