Spring rush !!!
by: $$$Omg is there a reason why so many sororities are doing cob rush this year? Like kappa?? Seriously I wouldn’t think they would but damn like the list was pretty long

Because people graduate in December and open spots for COB. It's not a black mark to take spring members because all nationals keep pushing for chapters to stay at or near total. And some sororities are definitely doing COB but did not want to be on the public list because they are too scared to let people know they need members, but they are the first ones to criticize the other chapters. It's not required to announce it, so kudos to the chapters who are open and welcoming about it.

A lot of it really is coming from the national level, and I’d expect to see even more chapters start participating in spring COB over time too. If chapters can fill the spots that open up due to December grads and girls who dropped in the fall a semester early, it increases revenue from dues and helps keep budget/forecasting consistent throughout the year.
It can also be easier for chapters to find girls who are a good fit during COB since there’s a lot more flexibility and smaller events compared to fall recruitment.
