Our numbers are down as far as people rushing I also think the fact many of the srst and frat houses are run down hurts UGA. I would love to see new houses !

Less people at socials less people going to parties less people going downtown. Probably a consequence of the school getting harder to get into academically

The more difficult it is to get into the worse Greek life gets- totally true

The fact is that UGA enrollment has shrunk and has gone from the largest university in the state to the 4th largest. GA State is now the largest, followed by GA Tech and then Kennesaw. While UGA has had a very slight increase in enrollment, the top 3 have had explosive growth in the past few years. This, combined with the changing composition of students enrolled and the national bad rep that Greek life constantly gets has caused a hit in membership.

Not sure where your stats are coming from but UGA has 35,000 undergrads. Georgia Tech has 19,000. A lot of the growth at Georgia Tech has been in their online computer science Masters program which is enormous. Undergrad though, UGA is almost twice as big. Both have a single campus.

Georgia state is huge but also has multiple campuses and is largely a commuter school. KSU also has 2 campuses really and many people commute as well.

Agree that UGA is much harder than it was to get into even three years ago. We are getting closer to GeorgiaTech as far as percentage of applicants admitted in state.

Haven't even been able to say or read the word "pandemic" with a straight face in over a year and a half. Try much more appropriate alternatives, such as:

- Scamdemic
- Response to declared / so-called public health emergency
- Plannedemic
- "This stupid sh.it"
- The Great Reset

Hasn't affected the south as bad as you've noticed because it's purely political and psychological. The "pandemic" has not done or changed anything in the world, only government response and people's willingness or un-willingness to comply with totalitarianism with a psychological origin in TV and social media propaganda.
