Message to the Girls Who Fell Through the Cracks
by: A Message
This is a message to the girls who slipped through the cracks during rush. BTW, passive aggressive comments like "There's a place for everyone, you ended up where you belong, they're still great girls, etc" IS BULLYING. Certain sororities on this campus often get talked down to like they are a charity case or something.
The truth is every year a certain number of girls fall through the cracks. Believe it or not, smart, outgoing, involved, beautiful girls CAN AND DO occasionally get passed over and suffer extremely heavy cuts. My best friend was one of these people and she knows it wasn't just in her head because she constantly got asked by people "Why are you an XYZ?"
Make the best of it and brush off the hate because life is SO SHORT and none of this will matter in 5 years. Maybe this is your chance to be a leader, to be a big fish in a small pond, to stand out in a crowd. Try to take on a role to build your resume.
Maybe you can't be in a top-tier sorority, but you can be a top tier PERSON.
Everyone, please don't write people off or stereotype them simply based on their letters.
I'm not going to lie and say tiers don't exist, but there are EXCEPTIONS to every stereotype.
