Tell me about dphie, DG and SDT

These are amazing houses. Be open to them.

Better to not even join a sorority... nothing worse then meeting a guy and having to say you’re in one of these sororities

DPhiE: very inclusive and woke girls. they have an entire week dedicated to self acceptance and body positivity. if you’re not rly thrilled about the more superficial things about being in a srat (ie being selective in recruitment, boys ans socials, drinking bad partying, etc) this is the place for you. you’ll find amazing girls who will have your back no matter what and are all about finding things to do other than going downtown. they aren’t super big on having socials and don’t have very many date nights but they are the only chapter on campus that can have out of state formal which is cool. do kinda have a band/drama kid vibe
DG: also very strong sisterhood. these girls buy into the typical srat life more than dphie as they have more of a party girl rep than other chapters of similar rank. girls of all types in DG so you’ll most likely to be able to find people with all different and similar interests to you. a lot of the dgs I know personally do have a tendency to get involved w drama but that’s being in a sorority.
Alpha Gam: sweet girls and smart with a kind of granola/Westly vibe. they don’t do a great job of matching people in rush so just keep in mind there’s all different types of girls in this one. like there’s girls who are super studious and more school than party but there are also super party girls who love to hang w the boys. a little cliquier than the Deeg and Deeph but that is also part of being in a sorority.
In terms of going through recruitment, rely on your gut and make sure you vibe w the girls bc they’re gonna be your main socialization in the first weeks of college. also make sure the chapter represents something and the girls are people you would be proud to be affiliated to bc you’re gonna be paying thousands of dollars for that affiliation :)))
