rushing from oos
by: oosi'm from oos (clt,nc) what sororities would be most likely to give me a bid? i have pretty good grades, am involved at my hs, and play volleyball. also i go to a hs with a very good instate. would it be hard to get good bids here?

if you know anybody that’s already in a sorority make sure you talk to them so they can try and get pull inside the sorority, that’s the best way although it still never totally secures a bid. just be yourself. don’t say what you think they wanna hear, be honest about yourself.

Don't count on the so-called top-tiers unless you know girls or are a direct legacy to a UGA sorority - and even that's a stretch. They seem to stick close to their own. But don't worry - there are lots of sororities who take OOS girls. I love my group and we are a strong mix of in-state and out of state. Be yourself, don't get caught up in the tiers, and don't take the process too seriously and you will be fine. There are great women in all the sororities.
