COB opportunities?
by: SadIf anyone could explain COB and any opportunities I might have to join a sorority I would really appreciate it. I didn’t get a sorority today on bid day and I’m pretty sad about it. I was really hoping for a snap bid but now I’m just wondering about any other options I might have

Snap bids (when I went through 3 years ago) were given later on bid day, the day after and some even through the week. Some girls will drop throughout the first week if they didn't get the sorority they wanted or if they just don't feel like they ended up at the right house for them, opening spots in the pc for snap bids so the sorority can meet quota. Don't be sad about not getting a bid though - it happens to so many girls and Greek life isn't the only way to find your people.

Also, some seniors graduate in December so COB usually takes place early spring semester because sororities have to fill those spots. The number of spots depends on the specific sorority though, sometimes a lot graduate in December, sometimes only one or two. Usually these bids are extended to girls who have made close friends with a lot of girls in the PC - you kinda have to have people vouching for you to be invited to COB events.
