It's not you.....
by: sageIf you are feeling humbled by recruitment, please remember that it's really not a personal judgement about you. You are not in high school any longer, where you were tops in academics and honors and sports etc. You are swimming in a brand new pond now, where EVERYONE was also tops in academics and honors and sports etc. It's a whole new dynamic now where you have matriculated into your true peer group, and it's harder to stand out. It's not you, it's not your resume. There are other factors at work in sorority rush that you have zero control over no matter how awesome your qualifications are, like the number of pnm's each house is limited to invite back; zero control over not already having friends or other connections in a house; zero control over the feelings, impressions, and vibes that are so important when selecting new sisters. Sorority members HATE to lose great girls and get emotional to. You're going to be okay.
