Why are the most diverse houses ranked low?
by: PnmSeems like the 4-5 lower ranked houses that are more welcoming and diverse should be ranked way higher than the likes of KD and DZ.

you know. after everything that has happened, i think DZ handled their disrespectful incident really well. DZ showed disrespect and a case of ignorance. however, SK didn’t even care to comment on their testimonials. AGD didn’t do anything but post an ig graphic, and don’t even get me started on ADPi.

From what I’ve seen many of the supposedly “lower tier” houses like DG, AGD, DPhiE have a lot of great girls coming back. I know there will be big cuts before prefs but these houses look like they are doing well from my end. I’ve seen a lot of people that have them on their list. I’m one of them and I hope others will give them a chance too.

Because ranks have always been determined by popularity and to be popular frats filled with elitist, southern white boys had to decide you were worthy. If you didn’t fit their beauty standard and their stepford image of a what a lady should be, you were at the bottom. Not conforming to that is a GOOD THING despite what small minded people on GR say.

that are more diverse, have not necessarily striven to be diverse, as they have striven to fill their new member classes. I do not intend to be cruel, but for various reasons, these chapters are not as highly desired as other chapters, and they aren't able to be as selective as the more desired chapters are. If your goal is to fill your new member class, and PNMs aren't beating down your door to join, you have to broaden your search.

Many people rank based off of the chapters overall reputation and how strict the requirements are to get in. Because one sorority has stricter requirements (GPA, # of rec letters, legacy status etc.) does not necessarily mean it is better but many people view that as being "more elite" because they can be harder to get into. Often there are less minority women in these kinds of chapters because minority women do not have the same connections to get numerous rec letters for one house and many of their parents/grandparents would not have joined pahnellenic because segregation was still occurring. When sororities change these requirements thats when you start to see more diversity in the house. hope that helps

If you look at ranks on sorority pages in the most of them mention appearance. Either a sorority is great because it has beautiful girls or it's not because it's not recruiting with conventional beauty in regards to appearance in mind. It's freaking stupid to me, but whatever.
