I'm looking to rush next fall, as I am planning to come to UGA. I've spent time on here and I was just wondering why everyone hates AGD and DG. What makes them so much worse? Should I not even bother thinking about them?

Don't let this site influence your opinions during rush... Decide which houses you like and don't like on your own! Each house has its own rep but the stereotypes truly don't match up to the girls within them. Your pledge class is what will define the sorority so just go in with an open mind.

There are some great girls in both DG & AGD - and pretty ones too. Be open minded and take a hard look at who would be in your pledge class-that's who you'll be hanging out with.

I know some really great girls in both AGD and DG who are incredibly happy where they are! Don't let any of the ranking systems influence your decision. Just rush, and then see how you like the girls in each house!

Like people have noted, there are actually some very pretty girls in both houses. There are also some average looking girls in both houses. Why do they get put down? Probably because some more insecure girls in other houses feel the need to label someone as the "lower tier" houses. Keep an open mind in recruitment. If you like the girls there, then give them a chance.
